 Event Overview

The Explore Taiwan 120h program proudly enters its 12th year, dedicated to helping university students in Taiwan better understand how the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are being implemented locally.

This year’s theme, “Safe and Sustainable Agri-Food”, guides students to explore the sustainable dimensions of Taiwan’s agri-food industry.

Selected students will form teams to participate in a five-day field exploration program.

This year’s designated visit sites include six key locations:

• CTCI Group Second Headquarters (Model Enterprise)

• Smart Farm / Agricultural Research and Extension Station

• Reservoir / Water Resource Center

• World Vegetable Center (AVRDC, a WTO-affiliated organization)

Through these visits, students will gain a deeper understanding of food and agricultural safety and sustainability—from production and technology to ecology.

In addition, each team must independently plan at least six self-selected sites related to the 17 SDGs, designing a creative and insightful sustainable travel itinerary that may include field research, corporate visits, community revitalization, or agri-food education.

▍Announcement of Selected Teams:
Results will be announced on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, following a preliminary review process.

▍Field Exploration Dates:
January 26 (Mon) – January 30 (Fri), 2026

▍Final Presentation and Award Ceremony:
Saturday, March 21, 2026

▍Eligibility:
Open to undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students from universities in Taiwan.
Each team must consist of four students from the same university, including:

• One Taiwanese student as the team leader (main contact person)

• Three international students of different nationalities
